Sidi Mohamed el-Amine Bey (1881–1962), or Lamine Bey, was the last bey of Tunis (1943–1956) and the only king of Tunisia (1956). Enthroned under the French protectorate, he navigated between the national movement and the French authorities before being deposed and seeing the monarchy abolished after independence in 1956.
