created to raise awareness and support the cause of refugees under the auspices of the United Nations. The central design depicts an "Uprooted Oak", a common emblem used by several countries for this global campaign. This stamp is part of a larger series. The same motif was used by other nations such as Lebanon, Haiti or Saudi Arabia to mark this world event in 1960.
