Promulgation of the Constitution
This Tunisian stamp illustrates the Promulgation of the Constitution of 1959, a fundamental event in the institutional history of independent Tunisia. Adopted shortly after the proclamation of the Republic in 1957, this Constitution marks the establishment of a modern State equipped with organized institutions, a structured executive and a legal framework aimed at guaranteeing political stability. Through its symbolic graphics, the program pays tribute to the construction of a new constitutional order, focused on national sovereignty, administrative modernization and the construction of a Tunisian civic identity. It recalls the importance of this founding text in the consolidation of the State and in the anchoring of republican principles within Tunisian society.
