20th Anniversary of UNESCO
This stamp celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the creation of UNESCO, founded in 1946, by highlighting Tunisia's adherence to the universal values of education, culture and dialogue between peoples in the post-independence period. The illustration, built around classical architecture evoking a temple of knowledge, brings together a succession of stylized human profiles which symbolize the diversity of cultures, civilizations and voices called to coexist and understand each other. This composition highlights the idea that culture and knowledge constitute common foundations, capable of transcending borders and supporting peace. In the Tunisian context of the 1960s, this stamp reflects the country's commitment to promoting heritage, education and intellectual openness, affirming the desire of the young Republic to be fully part of international institutions and to contribute to a humanism based on the sharing of knowledge and respect for cultural identities.
