Nature and environment. Population, a scourge

This 10 millime stamp is part of an early awareness campaign about the dangers of uncontrolled industrialization and environmental degradation. Through an iconography which contrasts the purity of nature (flowers and birds) with the heaviness of factory fumes weighing on man, the Republic underlines the need for harmonious development that respects ecosystems. By describing pollution as a “scourge”, Tunisia sends a strong ecological message, recalling that the protection of nature and the control of industrial emissions are essential conditions for the well-being of future generations.
