Calligraphy, Art and traditions, Mogod Pottery Merchants
This 75 millime stamp depicts two seated figures, guardians of the ancestral gestures of pottery and welcome. The calligraphic technique used here merges man and object, suggesting that the craftsman's know-how is a natural extension of his identity and culture. The presence of traditional containers recalls the importance of hospitality in Tunisian society, where sharing water and food is a fundamental social rite. This program recognizes the dignity of land-based professions and the sustainability of domestic traditions, presenting the Tunisian home as a sanctuary of culture preserved through the centuries.
