20th anniversary of the Constitution

This figurine commemorates the two decades of the 1959 Constitution, the founding text which sealed the transition to a republican regime and defined the structures of the modern state. Hatem El Mekki's work superimposes the profile of Habib Bourguiba on the constitutional book, highlighting the link between the "father of independence" and the legislative framework which allowed major social reforms, notably the Personal Status Code. This stamp celebrates institutional stability and the desire to build a rule of law, guarantor of national sovereignty and social progress.
