Wedding suits - Nabeul
This program illustrates the splendor of wedding ceremonies in the Cap Bon region through the wedding costume of Nabeul. The illustration highlights the “Grand Robe”, a monumental piece entirely covered with golden embroidery with floral and geometric motifs, worn during the “Jlowa” ceremony. The symbolism of this costume, presented on a support reminiscent of the bride's presentation rites, evokes fertility and protection. The associated Nabeulian context is that of a city of arts and crafts where gold thread embroidery, like pottery, defines an ancestral heritage transmitted with pride to mark the sacred stages of family life.
