40th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
This stamp commemorates the fortieth anniversary of the adoption by the UN of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948-1988). The very sober visual shows a powerful arm holding a book on which the title of the Declaration is written in French. An olive branch, symbol of peace, accompanies this image. By issuing this stamp, Tunisia reaffirms its attachment to the universal values of human dignity, freedom and justice, inscribing its republican identity in respect for international law and fundamental freedoms.
