The yellow door - Dar Othman (19th century) - The Medina
This program features a monumental yellow door, characteristic of the patrician residences of the Medina of Tunis. The black studding draws traditional patterns of mihrab and torches, symbolizing light and the sacred. Next to it, a Sidi Bou Saïd style bird cage, with its curves in white iron wire, recalls the sweetness of life and the craftsmanship of wrought iron. This stamp highlights the harmony of colors and shapes in historic Tunisian urban planning, testifying to a heritage where each architectural detail reflects the refinement and hospitality of the local culture.
