International Philatelic Exhibition in Seoul

This stamp was issued on the occasion of Tunisia's participation in the World Philately Exhibition in Seoul, South Korea. The illustration is a complex composition of bubbles showing various aspects of Tunisian heritage: agriculture (oranges), industry, architecture and wildlife, all linked by postal symbols (envelopes, carrier pigeons). We also see the symbol of "Taegeuk" (blue and red) of Korea. It is a tribute to cultural exchanges and cooperation between postal administrations around the world for the promotion of philatelic art.
