The Honey Bee — Apis mellifica

Through this stamp with a high face value, Tunisia pays tribute to the Bee, pillar of biodiversity and the rural economy (honey production). The image shows two bees foraging on orange blossoms, an emblematic crop of the Cap Bon region.
Beyond beekeeping, this stamp celebrates the vital role of pollination. He recalls that the survival of many plant species and food security depend on the protection of these insects, now threatened by environmental changes.
