Bedouin tabla
This stamp features the Tabla, a double-sided frame drum, struck with sticks or hands, often used in folk music orchestras.
The Tabla is the basic instrument for marking the “Doms” and “Taks” of traditional rhythms. It embodies the structure and cadence of Tunisian social life, accompanying processions and outdoor celebrations. Its presence on the timbre underlines the importance of percussion in Maghreb musical architecture.
