Neverita josephinia - Bebouch Bahar
This stamp presents Joséphine's Natice, a gastropod recognizable by its globular and flattened, almost circular shape. Its smooth shell has pearly nuances and a very marked umbilicus (the center of the spiral).
Common on fine sandy beaches, it is a symbol of the discreet marine life of the coastal shallows. Its local name, “Bebouch Bahar”, recalls its membership in the large family of marine snails appreciated by collectors for their perfect geometry.
