At the end of the vote, President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali was indeed re-elected with 89.62% of the votes, compared to 5.01% for Mohamed Bouchiha, 3.80% for Ahmed Inoubli and 1.57% for Ahmed Brahim. Participation officially stands at 89.40%. This presidential election is the last under the Ben Ali regime.
