Organic Agriculture in Tunisia: date (Phoenix dactylifera)

The illustration is dedicated to the date (Phoenix dactylifera), and more precisely to the prestigious variety “Deglet Nour”, flagship of the Jérid and Nefzaoua oases. The stamp presents a bunch of translucent and golden dates against a background of a traditional oasis scene showing pickers resting under the palm trees, evoking the art of living and the ancestral culture of southern Tunisia.
