Monastir

This program magnifies the Ribat of Monastir, one of the oldest and most imposing defensive monuments in the Maghreb. The illustration, treated with an old parchment effect, shows the fortress overlooking the Mediterranean at sunset. A symbol of historical resistance to maritime incursions and a center of Sufi spirituality, the Ribat embodies the millennial identity of Monastir, birthplace of the first President of the Republic, and remains a major witness to Islamic architectural grandeur in Tunisia.
